Potential alternative sources of coverage / funding
Extended health care plans
Clients who have access to extended health/medical care coverage benefits (from providers such as Sunlife, Manulife, Pacific Blue Cross, etc) may be able to get reimbursement for the services of RCCs (Registered Clinical Counsellors), such as myself. You may wish to check with your provider if your particular policy will reimburse you for counselling services in this case.
The Insurance Company of BC (ICBC); WorkSafe BC; Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP); First Nations Health Authority Health Benefits Program (FNHA – HBP)
If you have been in an accident and are eligible for coverage from ICBC (referred to as “part-7 coverage) or WorkSafe BC, I may be able to work with your adjuster and/or legal representative in order to provide you with funding benefits for counselling/psychotherapy sessions. Please do not hesitate to bring it up as you get in touch.
I am qualified and registered to provide counselling to clients who have been victims of a crime and who are eligible through the BC Crime Victim Assistance Program. Please note that eligibility may be granted to the victim of a crime, a family member of the victim, or a witness, and you may contact a CVAP client coordinator at 1-800-563-0808 (24/7 toll-free, confidential, and multilingual).
I am also qualified and registered to provide mental health services to the First Nations Health Authority, Health Benefits Program (FNHA – HBP); Crisis Intervention Mental Health Program, and the Indian Residential School Resolution Health Support Program (IRSRHSP). Clients must meet the eligibility criteria for the FNHA mandate to receive services under the Health Benefits Program. More information at the FNHA toll-free line 1-800-317-7878.
After the initial consultation and mutual agreement about working together you are welcome to book your sessions via text message at 778-227-2818.
